Marjorie previously served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Canadian Cancer Action Network where she led a pan-Canadian network of 115 patient advocacy, population, and health organizations to address person-centred priorities, inequities, and systemic health system issues across the cancer control continuum. More recently, she served as the Executive Director of the Canadian Association for Population Therapeutics with a focus on advancing population-based research of therapeutic interventions to improve the health outcomes of Canadians. A certified Canadian Association Executive, Marjorie holds a Master’s Degree in Health Administration from the Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy, University of Regina. Raised in a small rural community in Eastern Ontario, Marjorie now calls Canmore home along with her spouse John and their dog, Rosie.
